Luggage Tags

Today is a good day to reveal my roommate gifts for the Stampin' Up! Convention without spoiling the surprise for my fellow travelers. Since we were all traveling I wanted to come up with a gift having to do with travel....I thought and I thought and BINGO.... luggage tags! How appropriate... something pretty to help identify their luggage or their convention bag. I made 9 tags total. Each one has my fellow travelers first initial cut from leather on the front and contact information on the back attached to it.

I went to my local craft store and picked out quilting fabric in 3 different color schemes.

Here's what it looks like on some luggage.

Do you think my fellow travelers will like them? I hope so.

Thanks for stopping by today... have a fabulous day!

Paris Remembered Though Artistic Etchings

I think I mentioned that I am going to the Stampin' Up Convention this year and I am very excited. I am so ready to take it ALL in. I have be very busy preparing my swaps and shoe box that the "Crazy Stamping Ladies" are doing on Saturday night. I also made 9 gifts for my fellow travels... I will post those on a later date. I would hate to spoil the surprise. When I saw the "Artistic Etchings" set I just had to use it for the swap because it brought back memories of a wonderful trip to Paris my Husband and I took 2 years ago. The Eiffel Tower is absolutely beautiful. We went right to the top...what a spectacular view of the city...breath taking!
The layout might look familiar... I used it a couple of months ago for a card workshop. Liked it so much that I had to us it again.

Stamps: Artistic Etching
Paper: Black, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red and Love Letter DSP
Inks: Black and Riding Hood Red
Punches: Eyelet Border
Assessores: Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim and Basic Rhinestones

Cards Workshop Sneak Peak

I usually hold my monthly card workshop on the third Wednesday of each month, but this mouth I have to switch it to the 3rd Monday (July 19th) because I will be out of town. I am so excited because I get to go to the Stampin' Up! Convention. WOW WEEE! This is my very first one and will be going with 9 fellow Crazy Stamping Ladies. I have been very busy getting ready, boy is it a lot of work, making 30 swaps, 9 room mate gifts and preparing for a shoe box swap that the Crazy Stamping Ladies are having on the last day of convention. I am loving every minute of the anticipation of the convention. I hope to meet a lot of my blogger friends also. YIPPEE!

OK on to the sneak peak for this Mondays card workshop. This workshop will be great because I will be using a lot of the new products from the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Catalog.

If you live in the Simi Valley, California area and want to know more information about my card workshops, just leave me a comment or e-mail me.

Stop on by again to see the reveal NEXT Wednesday!

Thanks for visiting today and have a fantastic day!

It's Been Busy Around Here!

Life has been very busy here since school let out a few weeks ago. We had my sister and her family visiting from Colorado for 10 days. We had a great time together. My girls really enjoy their cousins. My stamping room also doubles as a guest room so my access to the room was limited. Honestly in-between our day trips there wasn't any time to stamp. The day my sister leaves for home, the family is going on a 5 day camping trip to the beach. I love having my coffee in the morning watching the waves crash onto the shore.

I'm hoping to spend some quality time in my stamping room when I return and have some new posts to put up. The new Stampin Up catalog is fabulous! Bye for now!

Have a fabulous day!
